“Peggy’s Pentimento”
Another favorite done of late. This started out as an old oil painting of my very first instructor’s (Peggy Griffin). I had hung it on the patio at our old house and it faded almost to nothing. I decided to bring it back to life as a mixed media piece. There is a small part in the upper right had corner that I left as is – hence the pentimento.
I would think she is overjoyed, not only that you continue to create artwork, but remember and honor her contribution so wonderfully!
Sadly, she passed away some time ago. She was my instructor at the age of 8.
I love that you recycled this! (I hope the instructor is OK with it!) Very nice
