Variety – the Spice of Life

A few very different items. My “Froggy” is a miniature piece. When I find myself frustrated by watercolors, I go small. It’s just easier to control the wee ones. That difficult balance between pigment and water is easier to attain. The still life was done in a work shop with a watercolor artist I whose work I love and admire. His are so fresh and full of light and color. Check out Robert Leedy. The rest are studies except for the waterfall which was my first attempt at watercolor on yupo. I will definitely be trying that again despite its difficulties.
