A Challenging Day (8)

Not that this painting was a huge challenge. The day was in other personal ways. Good thing I had painted this piece already. You will see a painting tomorrow full of all the feelings of today….mostly helpless rage and anxiety….For now a painting of one of my favorite places on the planet. I consider this bit of earth my “soul place”. I was fortunate enough to live in Guantanamo Bay Cuba for three glorious years. Then fortunate enough to visit it after wards. Now that Cuba is open for travel from the US I will definitely be going. This paint depicts the astounding colors of the water there and a mountain range that gives me a sense of peace and longing at that same time.
