A Day Late

Something completely different… Not hard to combine “assignments” in this case. The Art Guild of Orange Park is doing a fundraiser with the Orange Park Community Theater, painting and selling violin covers. Some of them have been themed to their productions. I started off thinking that I would do one for “Bye Bye Birdie”. That was one of my all time favorite movies as a young girl. Some how it morphed into this. I needed to “practice” eagles for another piece, plus with 9/11 being yesterday, and it is a magnificent bird. There will be some tweaking done before I varnish and I’m going to collage images of the Declaration on the back.

I think every American should read the Declaration and the Constitution at least once a year. They are two quite extraordinary documents.
