Day 18 The Bowl as Art

So is it “stealing” when you do a painting of some one else’s art, if it’s a ceramic piece? I hope not. I tried an experiment on this one. Well, something I’ve never done before. I used Gum Arabic as a masking agent. It didn’t work as well as I had hoped. I think most of my spots were really too small to have it be effect once I then used water to remove it. Bleeding occurred. Also, I may have left it on there too long…a couple of days. Will continue to experiment with it, though, because I like the idea that it leaves a softer edge than frisket or masket.
