Known & Unknown

It always amazes me that several artists might follow the same instructions yet produce totally individual and unique artwork. This so demonstrates to me one of the most important things about art. It is at the core of why it is so important to keep the arts in our schools, from pre-k to high school and beyond. It is so important for all of us to be able to communicate with the outside world(s).  Yet sometimes we don’t even know what we want to say. Sometimes we aren’t even sure how we feel or what we think. The arts can help us to give voice to the known and the unknown.
